Meet Erwin
Erwin Sarceno has been a valued member of the Long Beach Transit team for six years, serving as a Customer Care Agent. In his role, Erwin assists customers with transit planning and provides information on LBT programs and services both over the phone and in-person at our Transit &Visitor Information Center, located at First Street and Pine Ave in Downtown Long Beach.
Erwin’s favorite part about his role is working one-on-one with the community. “I love interacting with our customers daily,” Erwin shared. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that I’m helping them with any questions they have, ensuring they have the smoothest possible trip.”
LBT is not just Erwin’s workplace; it’s also a vital part of his everyday life. He relies on the bus to commute between work, home and school. As a full-time student at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), Erwin is pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, and the bus system is essential for balancing his busy schedule.
“After working for LBT for several years, I’ve become familiar with all our routes, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be any of the Route 40s,” Erwin says. “These routes are my go-to because they take me directly to both work and school.”
When he’s not assisting customers or studying, Erwin enjoys spending time with his dogs, catching up on the Los Angeles Dodgers, and hanging out with friends and family.
