Meet Andrew

Andrew Sedillo is a Utility Worker who joined Long Beach Transit three years ago. He got his start at LBT as a Custodian before making the transition to the Maintenance Department in 2023 as a Utility Worker. 

In his role, Andrew, is responsible for the upkeep and general maintenance of LBT’s fleet, fueling and cleaning buses to ensure all our vehicles are ready for service.  

“I take pride in the work I do here at LBT,” shared Andrew. “As someone who rides our buses, I know how important it is for the community to maintain our fleet and I definitely appreciate riding on a clean bus.” 

Andrew’s favorite part about working at LBT is the team atmosphere of the Maintenance Team. “We all look out for one another and help each other from shift to shift,” shared Andrew. “It’s a friendly and collaborative environment and it makes it fun to come to work every day. There’s always something new to learn about our buses and my colleagues have always been there to help bring me up to speed.” 

In his free time, you can find Andrew riding LBT around the city exploring coffee shops, local libraries and record stores.
