Manolo Montoya

Meet Manolo Montoya

LBT’s Community Relations Team met customer, Manolo Montoya, a Long Beach City College (LBCC) student and Long Beach resident, at LBCC’s Basic Needs Resource Fair. Manolo, a bus-riding expert, made sure to stop by to express his gratitude for the GoPass program.

“It’s been an absolute lifesaver for me. I’ve been riding the bus since I was in fifth grade so I’m very familiar with how to get around. The best part for me is getting to feel closer to the city I live in.”

Manolo’s favorite route is the 91 due to the frequency of service and large service area. “The 91 goes all around the city, which is good if you want to explore, there’s definitely a lot of cool things you can see when riding this route.”

To commute to school and get around the city, Manolo uses his GoPass, which offers LBCC students unlimited free rides aboard LBT buses, as well as LA Metro buses and trains. All K-12 students within the Long Beach Unified School District and Los Angeles Unified School District also qualify for the GoPass program.

When Manolo’s not busy with homework, you can find him making music or exploring the city.

Thank you for riding with LBT, Manolo!
