Reimagining your commute.
The First Street Transit Gallery is more than a hub for Long Beach Transit’s major bus routes and other local transit agencies. It’s an experience that makes commuting an artform.
Since undergoing a renovation nearly a decade ago, the First Street Transit Gallery has become an iconic Long Beach landmark. The Gallery features colorful mosaic tiles, poems and quarterly installations of artwork from the community.
As you connect with your next destination, let the works of art at the Gallery inspire your journey.
LBT invites you to take a safe, physically distanced tour along the First Street Transit Gallery to enjoy this new public art installation.

Long Beach’s artistic future is on display with these mosaics designed by local third graders as part of the Eye on Design program. Over the course of 15 weeks, students study public art and research their neighborhoods to create pieces that affect positive change.
