Long Beach, CA – Long Beach Transit (LBT) has announced the return of its Museum Express service in time for National Arts and Humanities Month this October. The 2024 season will launch on Oct. 5 through Oct. 27, 2024, offering weekend transportation to 11 popular arts and culture destinations.  

Museum Express is a transportation service designed to encourage the use of public transportation while promoting regional arts and culture. The fare is $14 per person and covers transportation only; customers are responsible for their own admission to the venues. This year’s destinations include: 

  • The Getty Center (Brentwood) on Saturday, Oct. 5  
  • MOCA/The Broad on Sunday, Oct. 6  
  • The Getty Villa on Saturday, Oct. 12  
  • The Huntington Library on Sunday, Oct. 13 
  • The Getty Center (Brentwood) on Saturday, Oct. 19 
  • The Ronald Reagan Library on Sunday, Oct. 20 
  • Museum Row on Saturday, Oct. 26 
  • Mission San Juan Capistrano on Sunday, Oct. 27 

This season, Museum Express will feature the latest addition to LBT’s sustainable fleet—a 45-foot battery-electric commuter coach, providing zero-emissions and more seating comfort. This aligns with LBT’s ongoing commitment to a cleaner, greener future. 

Passes are now available online via www.ridelbt.com/museumexpress for credit card payments. For cash purchases, passes can be obtained at LBT’s Transit and Visitor Information Center, located at 133 East 1st Street, Long Beach.
