Meet Brandon Romero
Brandon Romero joined Long Beach Transit (LBT) as a Bus Operator 10 years ago. Brandon is a proud Long Beach native and his love for the city inspired him to give back to his community by helping people get where they need to go each day.Ā
For Brandon, one of the best parts of being a Bus Operator is the opportunity to explore different parts of Long Beach and the surrounding cities. He especially enjoys sharing these experiences with his family by pointing out all the places his routes take him.Ā
āI grew up taking the bus in high school and college, so I was familiar with LBT from a young age,ā shared Brandon. āWhen I became an operator, I loved getting to explore the city I grew up in because I learned so much more about it just by driving the different routes and talking to customers. It inspires me to show my family all the cool places I learn about and check out different neighborhoods and events.āĀ
During his decade of service, Brandon has driven many routes, but his favorite is Route 121. āIf you have never taken Route 121, you definitely need to,ā he said. āIt has some of the most beautiful views of Long Beach.āĀ
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys skateboarding, watching horror movies, and has recently started running. As part of LBTās dedication to fostering employee wellness, employees recently participated in the Long Beach Aquarium 5K. Brandon joined almost 90 LBT team members in the race, participating in his first 5K. Go Brandon!Ā Ā
