Meet Edward Sanchez

Edward Sanchez joined LBT as a Bus Operator eight years ago this June.  

His favorite part about being a Bus Operator is serving the community where he lives, “I love getting to serve my community, it brings me a sense of joy knowing that I am getting my customers to work, school, doctor’s appointments, and to their families. You really do start to feel a sense of connection with the community when you’re out there every day serving them.”

Becoming a Bus Operator was an unexpected but welcome change for Edward. “I was looking for something new and I wanted a career change. I saw that LBT was hiring Bus Operators, and I applied. They called me a few weeks later, and I went through the process and started training. I wasn’t expecting it and had never thought about being an Operator before, but after I completed training and got out on the road, I knew I made the right decision.”  

Little did Edward know that another unexpected but welcome change would come by working at LBT, he met his wife on the job! They have been married for five years.  

When he’s not a work, you can find Edward spending time with his family at the park, beach, and traveling to different countries.
