Meet Jonathan Serrano-Blanco

LBT’s Payroll Supervisor, who joined the team two and a half years ago and since then has made sure that the nearly 800 LBT team members receive their paychecks every two weeks.

Jonathan gained insights to start his career in payroll while he served as an administrator in the Marine Corps from 1996 to 2003. Once he completed his time in the Marines, Jonathan applied his knowledge on the civilian force, making his way over to LBT in 2018.

One of his favorite things about working at LBT is the feeling of belonging to a family and being able to take care of all LBT employees.

He believes that in order to be successful when working as a payroll administrator, one must be detail oriented, because a decimal in the wrong place or a miskey can create issues for somebody else.

“We drive on the fact that we have to ensure everyone is getting paid the correct amount on time so staff doesn’t miss their car payment, rent or mortgage,” he shared.

Off the clock, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and going on motorcycle and car rides. They both belong to the Orange County Mustang Club and love helping plan or attend car show events.

Jonathan is also part of Marine Riders, a riding club made up of U.S. Marine veterans, who go on rides every Saturday. Since the pandemic, he has found riding with his club to be the perfect safe and socially distanced activity to do, however he is looking forward to the day where he can attend large car show events once again.
