Jordan - Community Spotlight

Meet Jordan

Jordan Magdael grew up in Long Beach and began using Long Beach Transit (LBT) in high school to commute to school. Now, as he continues his education at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, he still relies on LBT to get to class and explore the city and surrounding communities.

“I’ve been using Long Beach Transit for four years now. If I had to give someone riding the bus for the first time some advice, I’d say to arrive at your bus stop on time or even five minutes early to make sure you don’t miss your ride,” shared Jordan.

Jordan uses the Go Beach! Pass, which covers his commute to campus aboard LBT buses. The Go Beach! Pass offers unlimited rides for CSULB students, staff, and faculty at $40 (a $65 value) for a 30-day pass or $100 (a $325 value) for a 150-day semester pass.

“Throughout my time riding Long Beach Transit, Route 41 and 46 have been my go-to. They’ve gotten me to and from school for years, and now they’re the same routes getting me to college,” he said.

When Jordan is not studying on campus, you can find him working on freelance graphic design projects.
