Meet Pacifico

Pacifico Ypio is a Cal State Long Beach student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and who rides with LBT to explore Long Beach and the surrounding communities.  

Pacifico’s decision to embrace public transit came when he moved from Glendale to Long Beach. “I transferred from Pasadena City College to CSULB and needed a way to commute to campus. Since I just moved to Long Beach, I don’t have a car, but I don’t mind using public transit especially since it’s zero-emission, and the AC is a plus.”  

Pacifico uses the Go Beach! Pass, to cover his commute to campus aboard LBT buses. The Go Beach! Pass offers unlimited rides for CSULB students, staff and faculty at $40 ($65 value) for a 30-day pass or $100 ($325 value) for a 150-day semester pass.    

“Route 41 or 45 are my go-to routes because they take me to and from school,” shared Pacifico. “I’m excited to explore Long Beach and the other LBT routes this semester!” 

When Pacifico’s not busy with schoolwork, you can find him skateboarding or playing computer games.
