Meet Rosaura

 Meet Rosaura Ponce, an LBT customer for the past 11 years who lives in Long Beach and relies on Long Beach Transit for her to commute to work and everyday errands. Rosaura’s interview was conducted in Spanish, so her direct quotes are included in both languages. 

“My favorite part is getting to meet different people and the bus operators. The bus operators have been very helpful, especially when I first started riding the bus. I would like to thank them for being so welcoming and kind when it comes to their customers and for helping the community.”  

“Mi parte favorita es conocer a diferentes personas y también a los operadores de autobuses. Los operadores de autobuses también han sido muy útiles para mí, especialmente cuando comencé a viajar en el autobús. Me gustaría darles las gracias por ser tan acogedor y amable cuando se trata de sus clientes y por ayudar a la comunidad.”  

With years’ worth of transit experience, Rosaura’s advice to new customers is, “Always plan out your trip before riding. It can be stressful having to ask others for directions, so planning your trip online first makes riding the bus easy.” 

“Siempre planifique su viaje antes de viajar. Puede ser estresante tener que preguntar a otros por direcciones, asi que planificar su viaje en línea primero hace que viajar en autobús sea fácil.”
