Meet Tania Nicols
Meet Tania Nicols, an Long Beach resident who rides LBT’s buses daily to help connect her to family, friends, and senior activities in Long Beach and surrounding cities.
“I moved here from Brazil 30 years ago and was afraid to drive so I learned how to ride the bus to get around the city and explore. When I started riding the bus, LBT used to accept tokens, then ticket stamps, and now the TAP Card,” shared Tania. “The Senior TAP Card makes riding the bus more convenient, especially when you ride the bus regularly.”
Tania is an LBT expert, teaching her senior group all the tips and tricks on how to ride the bus. “I always tell my friends to remember to arrive at your bus stop at least 5 minutes early and if you need help or have questions you can call LBT’s Customer Care Call Center.”
In her free time, you can find Tania enthusiastically participating in senior center events, taking classes at Long Beach City College, working out at the gym, and traveling.
Thank you, Tania, for riding with us and being an LBT advocate!
