Long Beach, CA – Christopher Koontz was appointed to the Long Beach Transit (LBT) Board of Directors by Long Beach City Manager Tom Modica. Mr. Koontz will serve as one of two City Representatives, and he attended his first Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
“Long Beach Transit had the pleasure of welcoming Christopher Koontz as a new City Representative to LBT Board of Directors,” President and CEO Kenneth A. City Representative Koontz joined the City of Long Beach eight years ago and is now the Director of the City’s Development Services Department. He is responsible for managing the five bureaus within the department, and his focus as Director has been to better align planning functions. Mr. Koontz has nearly 17 years of experience in development services and city planning.
