Long Beach Transit Launches Direct Service to World Cup Matches in Inglewood Starting June 12

Long Beach, CA — Long Beach Transit (LBT) is proud to announce special bus service connecting Downtown Long Beach directly to World Cup matches at Los Angeles (SoFi) Stadium in Inglewood, CA.

Through LA Metro’s World Cup Enhanced Service Program, LBT will offer local and international fans transportation to all eight World Cup matches hosted at Los Angeles Stadium, including the U.S. National Team’s opening match on June 12 through July 10, 2026.

Transit service will operate from 1st Street between Long Beach Blvd. and Elm Ave. in Downtown Long Beach, with buses running every 8 to 10 minutes beginning approximately four hours before each kick-off and continuing 90 minutes after the final whistle. The trip to Los Angeles Stadium takes approximately one hour each way.

Reserved parking is available at City Place Lot C, located at 51 E. 3rd Street in Downtown Long Beach, with reservations starting at $12. Customers pay just $1.75 each way using a TAP card, debit/credit card, or mobile wallet.

“Long Beach Transit is proud to partner with our regional transit agencies to help move fans efficiently during the World Cup,” said Kenneth A. McDonald, President and CEO of Long Beach Transit. “As we welcome the world to our region, we are proud to deliver dependable mobility that brings fans, families, and cultures together. This is a unique opportunity to showcase the strength of public transportation and connect our community to one of the world’s premier sporting events.”

For those choosing to attend the soccer celebrations in Downtown Long Beach, LBT offers service from all parts of the city to its Transit Gallery on 1st Street, just steps from the events on Pine Ave.
