Long Beach, CA – To encourage voter turnout, Long Beach Transit (LBT) will be offering complimentary service on Election Day, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, to get new and current customers to the polls.
Complimentary service will be offered for the full span of service and on all bus routes. This initiative reflects LBT’s commitment to reduce transportation barriers that might otherwise impede voter participation.
In addition to its regularly scheduled, fixed-route bus service, LBT will offer free rides for its eligible Dial-A-Lift customers. Dial-A-Lift is LBT’s paratransit service for those with permanent mobility impairments.
“By catering to our customers’ needs, LBT aims to create a more equitable and accessible voting experience for all,” said Kenneth A. McDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer.
