Long Beach, CA – Long Beach Transit (LBT) will offer complimentary service on all bus routes from 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 31 until 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 to help everyone travel safely during their celebrations.

To help customers avoid holiday traffic, parking and driving under the influence, LBT will have extended late-night service on nine routes to and from the Downtown Long Beach area. A complete list of extended routes and departure times can be found here.

“Let LBT connect you to a safe New Year,” said Kenneth A. McDonald, President and CEO. “For several years, LBT has offered complimentary rides on New Year’s Eve to promote safe travel and I am pleased to continue this tradition this year.”

LBT routes will operate on a Sunday schedule on Dec. 24 and 25, 2022, and again on Jan. 1 and 2, 2023.

AquaLink service will not be in operation on Dec. 24 and 25, but will operate on its regular schedule Friday, Dec. 30 through Jan. 1, 2023, giving customers an excellent opportunity to ring in 2023 from the water. Fare is $5.00 each way. Visit www.ridelbt.com/aqualink for the AquaLink schedule.
