Customer Spotlight

Meet Susan Jacobs, a proud Long Beach resident and LBT customer. She is currently the Director of Content Development at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and is approaching her 3-year anniversary there (congrats Susan!).

She first began her journey with public transit a few years back after visiting her sister in New York, where she was reminded of the ease of riding the bus.

“I saw how easy it was to get around using public transit in New York and I really wanted to become more environmentally conscious and start being intentional with reducing my carbon footprint,” said Susan. “When I got back from that trip, I did some research about my local transit options and made the commitment to start using LBT.”

To commute to work, Susan uses the Go Beach! Pass, which gives her unlimited rides aboard LBT buses. The Go Beach! Pass is available to all CSULB students, staff and faculty and has two options available to meet everyone’s needs. There is a 30-day pass for $40 ($65 value) or 150-day semester pass for $100 ($325 value).

Susan also uses the Moovit App to plan her trips. “I love how simple the Moovit App is, it is straight forward and gets you where you need to go,” said Susan. “I’m able to make any adjustment along the way and it lets me know if I have enough time to grab some coffee on the way!”
