LBT’s next service change will go into effect on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026.
Paparating na Pagbabago sa Serbisyo
Customers can pay regular fare by tapping a contactless credit/debit card or mobile wallet, directly on the TAP validator when boarding.
Contactless payment is an additional way to pay fare. All existing TAP payment methods and cash will continue to be accepted.
How It Works
- Choose the type of contactless card you’d like to use:
- Contactless credit/debit card.
- Digital credit/debit card stored in your Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet on your smartphone or smartwatch.
- Tap your contactless payment at a TAP validator, just like a regular TAP card. The fare will be charged to your account.
- Wait for the green screen to appear or the “beep” and “GO” message to board with your processed payment.
- Customers can view their transaction and ride history on taptogo.net/TAPStatus.
- All major credit/debit cards are accepted: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, JCB and Union Pay.
Passes and Reduced Fares
Contactless payment is currently available for regular fare only.
- LBT Passes: Customers using one-day passes or multiple-day passes should continue to use a TAP card.
- Reduced Fare: Customers using reduced fare for seniors, disabled, LIFE program, or EZ Transit pass should continue to use a TAP card.
Group Payments
Customers using contactless payment can now pay for themselves and up to four additional customers.
To pay for multiple customers, tap the contactless payment on the TAP validator once for each customer in the group. All taps for the group must be completed within two minutes.
Interagency Transfers
LBT does not offer transfers within the LBT service area. Each ride is $1.25.
Customers transferring to Metro or other participating transit agencies can continue to receive transfer benefits when using contactless payment. To learn more about interagency transfers and L.A. Metro’s fare capping, visit taptogo.net/contactless-payment.
Ruta 4
Route 4 will operate weekdays from 5:11 a.m. to 8:59 p.m.
Westbound Route 4 weekday service will be extended by 10 minutes, with the last trip departing at 8:40 p.m.
Eastbound Route 4 weekday service will end five minutes earlier, with the last trip departing at 8:11 p.m.
Routes 8 and 191 – Bus Stop Removals
Bus stop #0130, served by eastbound Route 8 and westbound Route 191, at the southwest corner of Wardlow Rd. and the railroad tracks will be removed due to safety concerns.
Customers can use these alternate boarding locations:
- Routes 8 and 191: Bus stop #0129 at the southeast corner of Wardlow Rd. and Webster Ave.
- Route 191 Only: Bus stop #0131 at the southwest corner of Wardlow Rd. and Santa Fe Ave.
- Route 8 Only: Bus stop #0121 at the southeast corner of Wardlow Rd. and Santa Fe Ave.
Bus stop #0105, served by westbound Route 8 and eastbound Route 191, at the northeast corner of Wardlow Rd. and the railroad tracks will be removed.
Customers can use bus stop #0031 at the northwest corner of Wardlow Rd. and Santa Fe Ave., or bus stop #0106 at the northwest corner of Wardlow Rd. and Webster Ave. As alternate boarding locations.
These removals will enhance safety and improve frequency.
School trippers will return at peak student travel times to existing routes. These services are subject to change based on resource availability during peak student riding times.
