Service Changes

Long Beach Transit has three annual service changes in February, June and August. Learn about upcoming changes, improvements in service and other announcements below.

LBT’s next service change will go into effect on Sunday, June 15, 2025

Upcoming Service Change

Bus Stop Changes

Route 181 – Bus Stop Removals 

Bus stop #0417 at the southwest corner of Magnolia Ave. and 21st St. will be removed.

This change will improve safety and increase reliability. Bus stop #0417 is served by southbound Route 181. 

Bus stop #0389 at the northeast corner of Magnolia Ave. and 21st St. will be removed. This change will improve safety and increase reliability. Bus stop #0389 is served by northbound Route 181. 

    Route Webpage Improvements

    To make bus trip planning easier, LBT is adding a live bus tracker to each of its route webpages. The tracker will show the bus location on each route, in real-time, so you can better plan your trip and know when your bus will arrive.

      Minor Time Adjustments for Routes

      Routes 61, 91, 131, 171, 172, 173, 181. 

      Please check ridelbt.com/routes or your preferred trip planning app for updated stop times.  

      Paused Routes

      Routes that continue to be paused:
      Routes 52, 81, 96, 176.

      Transit & Visitor Information Center and LBT Call Center

      If you need assistance planning your trip, please contact our Customer Service team at 562.591.2301. LBT ‘s Call Center is open Monday–Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

      Additionally, the Transit & Visitor Information Center downtown,  remain open on Monday–Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

      Text “LBT” plus your “stop #” and automatically receive bus arrival times for your stop.

      For example, if you’re at stop 1454, you would text “LBT 1454.” Be sure to include a space between LBT and your stop ID before sending.
