Juan Quintana is a Bus Operator who joined LBT five years ago. He currently drives Routes 21, 22 and 23 along Cherry Avenue.
Having learned how to drive a bus for the first time with LBT, Juan thanks the incredible trainers who educate and equip new Bus Operators to be successful. “They really do teach you everything you need to know. By the time you’re done training, you feel really confident behind the wheel,” shared Juan.
Juan’s favorite part about working at LBT is his “corner office with a city view.” He also enjoys working alongside other Operators who are kind and willing to share their experiences and knowledge.
Since becoming a Bus Operator, Juan has learned to be more patient and understanding.
“Working in a role that deals with the public has taught me how to be very understanding. Long Beach is a diverse city, and I get to meet all types of people. My goal is always to assist customers to the best of my ability, and sometimes that means practicing patience and understanding where the customer is coming from.”
Whether it’s escaping to other worlds in books or releasing stress on the tennis court, Juan enjoys spending his free time relaxing and hanging out with friends and family.
LBT is currently recruiting wonderful Bus Operators like Juan who help connect communities and move people…making everyday life better. If you or someone you know is interested in joining LBT, visit ridelbt.com/careers to see a list of open positions.
