Meet Claudia

Claudia Sanchez has been a Long Beach resident and LBT customer for over 20 years! During her time in Long Beach, she has witnessed the city grow and parking spots become less available, which is what encouraged her to learn how to ride the bus.

Claudia admitted she was initially intimidated to ride the bus because there were several different routes and she was afraid to get on the wrong one, however she overcame her fear by asking for help. She learned how to ride LBT by calling our friendly Customer Care Representatives and said she still often calls in when she has questions about our routes and times.

She uses the bus for all her essential needs such as grocery shopping and taking her daughter to therapy and doctor visits, usually on Route 45 which runs along Anaheim Street and Route 51 along Long Beach Boulevard. She never tires of seeing all of the colorful murals as she rides along these routes.

During her free time, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and painting with her kids. This past year, Claudia and her family have been spending more time outdoors at local parks, where they can safely stay engaged in outdoor activities. She also made it a goal to teach her two older children bus ride basics to prepare them to ride alone in the future.
