LBT's next service change is scheduled to take place Sunday, February 6, 2022.

February Service Change Overview

Beginning Sunday, February 6, 2022, LBT will implement service improvements for Routes 41, 46, and 121, including additional school trippers along Routes 94 and 101. Below is an overview of the changes.

Service Improvements

Route 41 

  • Route 41’s running time will be improving providing a three-minute reduction in travel time for a faster trip between Long Beach Blvd and Santa Fe. 

Route 46 

  • Earlier service start time implemented for Route 46. Route 46 will start at 4:55 a.m. at Anaheim and PCH instead of starting at 5:04 from Anaheim and Cherry. 

Route 121 

  • An earlier inbound trip will be added weekday mornings at 5:02 AM, restoring an earlier connection between Route 121 and the A / Blue Line in downtown Long Beach.  
  • Route 121’s frequency will be improved from 60 minutes to 40 minutes creating an earlier light rail connection. 
Additional School Trippers
  • An additional afternoon tripper will be added to Route 101 from McBride High School at 2:20 p.m. 
  • An additional afternoon tripper will be added to Route 94, leaving 7th and Ximeno at 2:32 p.m. 
Bus Stop Removals

In December 2021, LBT proposed the removal of 32 bus stops, after receiving customer feedback, only 13 bus stops will be removed, effective Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Customers will have 90 days after the service change date to provide feedback regarding these bus stop removals. See below for the bus stop removal survey form.

Beginning Sunday, September 19, 2021, LBT will resume fare collection.
