Meet Jessie Sierra

Long Beach native and amateur Muay Thai boxing champion Jessie Sierra has been riding with LBT since her time at Lakewood High School, go Lancers! 

Today she rides LBT for her daily commute to coaching and training at her gym, Mission Muay Thai near Bixby Knolls in Long Beach. 

“LBT has been there for me since day one,” shared Jessie. “Route 71 gets me to and from the gym most days, and it’s my favorite route because it can connect me with routes that can take me all over the city!” 

Jessie takes advantage of the free time on the bus to get centered before training, listening to her go-to songs and focusing on the training session ahead of her. 

“I have my favorite bus operators who greet me in the morning and ask about my upcoming fights and how I’m doing,” shared Jessie. “If you’re new to riding the bus, don’t be afraid to ask your bus operator for help or directions. They’ve always looked out for me and can help you get to where you need to go.” 

When she’s not coaching or preparing for upcoming fights, you can catch Jessie trying out local eateries and exploring Long Beach.
